City of New Orleans Presents a Special Benefit Concert for Haitian Relief

Ray Nagin announced today a special benefit concert for Haiti featuring Los Hombres Calientes: Reunited for Haiti featuring Bill Summers, Irvin Mayfield plus special guests on Tuesday, February 23 at House of Blues, 225 Decatur Street, New Orleans. Doors open at 7pm, Show at 8pm. Tickets are $25 and all proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Efforts. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster, LiveNation.com, or call House of Blues Box Office at (504)310-4999.Los Hombres Calientes, is a critically acclaimed Latin Jazz group, who researched and recorded their Billboard award-winning and Grammy-nominated album Volume 4 in Haiti. Percussionist Bill Summers and trumpeter Irvin Mayfield will reunite after four years for this very special benefit concert. "Today, we are in the midst of a full recovery, with more than a billion dollars invested in rebuilding our great city. But we know first-hand about devastation. We know first-hand about the power of hope and that giving can uplift a people. That is why this Haiti relief fundraiser is important. Our Haitian brothers and sisters were there for us in our time of need, contributing thousands of dollars to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Tuesday is our time to give back to them," said Mayor C. Ray Nagin.
